As our taster day for creative people and London Creativity & Wellbeing Week fast approaches, we asked one of our creative clients to pen some feedback from her first few sessions with us to give a first hand view of how the therapy has benefitted her.
Sophie is a hard working self-employed photographer. She shoots weddings in the summer months – performing all those feats of balancing and crouching we’ve all seen photographers achieve at weddings! – and pursues her passion for interiors and exhibition photography throughout the rest of the year. She’s an active and positive person, attending bootcamps aplenty and cycling pretty much everywhere, when she isn’t carrying her phenomenal amount of kit that is!
Here’s what she had to say about her treatments so far:
I’ve recently started having treatments with Rachel and before then, I didn’t realise how much my job was affecting my posture and muscles. As a photographer I am constantly carrying heavy equipment and often on my feet for hours on end, especially if I’m working on events or weddings. As a result all the tension has gathered on my shoulders, back and neck.Rachel recognised this immediately and focused the treatments on easing the stress on these particular areas.
With only a few treatments I can already feel the benefit and with Rachel’s expert feedback about my body, I’ve learned so much about what I should be doing and how I can avoid building tension. Rachel has opened my mind to how I can continue being creative in my work and at the same time make small changes in my lifestyle to ensure I don’t have any long term damage to my body.
Most of all, due to the intense nature of my work, and often hours editing at the computer, it is such a retreat to see Rachel and I always feel renewed and refreshed after a treatment. It’s so important to value our bodies in this way and just wish I had started earlier!
Sophie, Photographer, London
We love working with creative individuals. They are passionate about what they do and work hard to achieve a unique and personal vision. Unfortunately this often comes at the expense of paying attention to niggles and aches, in both body and mind.
We work with our clients to help them find time to relax and regroup, offering bespoke packages that are affordable and effective. Ultimately we want to give our clients the knowledge about what their bodies need most and the tools to achieve comfort for themselves whilst producing their creative work.
Does this resonate with you? We’re always keen to hear from creative and non-creative people alike and find out more about what you do and the services you might need.
We also run regular case studies with creative professionals to enable them to follow a course of treatment and for us to really understand our clients. Either leave a comment below or email us to share your thoughts.
Hope to see you soon!
