London Creativity and Wellbeing Week (13-20 June 2012) is a new event organised by London Arts in Health Forum to promote the many fantastic projects that bring arts and health together in the capital. From talks and conferences to exhibitions and performances, the programme is an impressive line up that truly celebrates the diversity of this growing area of creative and therapeutic practice.
To introduce more creative people to the benefits of holistic massage we have organised a taster day on Wednesday 13th June as part of the week’s activities. We hope to help participants get their week off to a flying start by offering 20 minute taster massage treatments at The Plane Tree. We have appointments available from 9am until 5pm and each treatment costs just £10.
We’ve had some bookings already and the appointments are filling up fast! Booking is essential. For more details see our dedicated page or visit the event website. We’ll be posting more on our site as the event approaches and news about the week’s events can be found using the #LCW hashtag on Twitter.
We’re very excited to be involved in this fabulous event and hope to see some of you either on or off the couch during the week! In the meantime, if that has whet your whistle read this thought provoking article by AL Kennedy on the myth of the suffering artist. The award-winning writer will be opening the week with a talk at Tate Modern on the power of the arts for vulnerable people and communities. Empowering stuff!
